Meet John Hennigan & Eoin O’Riordan, two of our Quality Milk advisors.

We are the guardians of quality & our role is the link between our farmers and the company. We are in a unique position as our farmers are the main stakeholders in our business so we are all working towards the same goal. We have a really great working relationship with our farmers, we’ve sat at their kitchen table, seen their kids grow and have even attended a wedding or two! We as dairy advisors are continuously working together to produce the best quality peak fresh milk.

Communication & collaboration are vital and there’s a great sense of teamwork as a result. Each member of the quality team look after approximately 300 farmers each and manage multiple conversations on any given day. The role is Monday to Friday however we’re contactable 7 days a week 365 days a year. Similar to social media, farming is always on. We’ve just been around that bit longer!

Our core focus as Avonmore Quality Milk Advisors:

The quality of our milk is paramount to Avonmore. We work with farmers to produce the highest quality milk & test it at several stages in the process to ensure it’s in peak condition.
Animal Welfare is an area we focus on as do our farmers. We believe happy, healthy cows means peak fresh milk and happy, healthy customers!

We work with our local farmers to develop our farming methods ensuring we are up to date on new trends and technologies. We also look at better ways of doing things for our farms and our environment.

We have the highest standards and we work with our local farmers on continuously improving these. Our Quality Assurance Scheme is independently certified and we schedule a visit to our farms and go through the assessor checklist. Our Quality Assurance Scheme is independently certified and we schedule a visit to our farms and go through the assessor checklist.
